During my stay in Silicon Valley I dived into the blockchain technology and the crypto currency world. Luckily, as a privacy professional I have been not only be able to quickly understand at least the major parts of bitcoin, blockchain, encryption, P2P networks etc.. Moreover, I was and still am impressed of the possibilities blockchains provide. Hence, I have decided to extend my blog a bit and will publish news, posts and ideas about cryptocurrencies and the underlying technologies as well. I mean, in the end it is all about data, right? 🙂
So, if you would like to read more about Bitcoin and blockchain, stay tuned.
For the next few weeks you can follow me in San Francisco and Palo Alto. You will get the latest News, interesting topics and insights conerning privacy directly from California. Starting from my experience at the security controls at the airport in Berlin, the transfer check in the States, the controls at my arrival in San Francisco and so on so forth… I am curious to see, how much of the surveillance I will really notice, feel and – maybe – accept, how Americans think about privacy and if there is at least a tiny change, that Europeans and Americans will agree on one basic level of privacy in the near future.
So, if you would like to read more about the USA, stay tuned.
p.s.: @khorben: My boarding pass shows no signs of extra security checks… not yet.
